Rhoda Eugenie Stephens

Rhoda Eugenie Stephens was my great great grandmother.
She was born to John Stephens and Ann Jenvey Lockyer in Southampton in July/Aug/Sep 1857, their second child. She was baptised on 12 November 1857


She relocated to Liverpool at some point between 1873 and 1877.
On 9 July 1877, she married Richard Henry Hindley, at Christ Church, Kensington, Liverpool.
They had seven children:

• Rhoda Eugenie "Alice" Hindley born 1878
• Annie Harriet Mary Hindley 1880-1945
• Richard Walter Hindley 1882-1952
• John Henry Hindley 1885-1946
• Ellen Eliza Hindley (my great grandmother) 1888-1962
• George Edward Hindley 1894-1918 (killed in action World War 1)
• Gertrude Elsie Hindley 1897-1972

Rhoda Eugenie died on 19 November 1907 at 86 Radcliffe Street, Liverpool of "bronchitis syncopic" in the presence of her husband Richard. She was 50 years old.
